The Venue

Popular among locals and visitors to the area, Oceana has two separate club areas and five separate bars. Each room has its own theme so by the end of the night you feel like you’ve visited 5 clubs not just one. The décor is simple but you get the odd funky mirror and even lighted dance floors making it a little different. This large venue attracts a lot of students and isn’t for the more high profile clubber. Due to its shier size if you’ve left anything in the cloakroom we recommend you go get it an hour before closing or you’ll be in a queue till late morning.

This large capacity venue attracts a lot of students so prepare to dance and go crazy all night long. The place is full of energy and no-one ever stops moving. There’s a great smoking terrace where you can relax and get a bit of fresh air away from the dance floor. Oceana is very popular on Thursdays and Wednesdays and expect it to be very busy! The bouncers are still friendly and all staff work quickly and efficiently.

The music varies depending what room you’re in so expect RnB, Electro, Funky House and anything else you can’t think of. Oceana sometimes has some live PA’s and in the past high profile artists like Genuine, Mario, Lloyd Banks, Nathan, Pretty Ricky and 112 have all performed here.
